In December 1709 lohgarh was declared as Khalsa Rajdhani by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. This was the world's largest Fort, constructed by the Sikhs to uproot the mighty Mughal Empire. The plans for the construction of Fort was initially made by Guru Nanak Sahib and later Nanaks executed the plan and the Vanjara Sikhs like Bhai Lakhi Rai Vanjara played significant role for the construction of Lohgarh. The 52 Bastions of Lohgarh were spread in the present district of Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar and Panchkula. After the battles of Lohgarh the mighty Mughal Empire decline
